What you should know about the Valley Chochołowska?


It is both the longest and the largest valley in the Polish Tatras: 35 km2 and 10 km long.

In the spring a whole mass of beautiful crocuses bloom here, which indicates that winter ends in the mountains.

The shelter in the Chochołowska Clearing was the place where in 1983, Pope John Paul II met with Lech Walesa. He said then: "I will come here to you in a quieter time."

This valley can be traversed on foot, by bike, horse-drawn highland carriage or you can go for a tourist train ride.

Chochołowska Valley Attractions


From the Chochołowska Clearing goes white and yellow papal tourist trail. So named because of the commitment of Karol Wojtyla to this place.

Maryna's and Janosik's Chapel, actually Chapel. of St. John the Baptist, which was built in the Chochołowska Clearing during filming of the classic TV series "Janosik". This is where the wedding ceremony of Harnas and Maryna was held.
